![]() I get a lot of false positives with the software with new machines because of some incompatibilities. The current 7.5 (?) version is lacking support for some newer CPU tests, Blu-Ray write testing, and some other motherboard specific tests. The current version is set to be replaced this fall from what I hear. They have also documented the software extensively.Īlso, if you can wait, do it. That said, the software is fantastic and their support is great when you have questions. If I had to go back, I wouldnt buy the Premier Kits. So you're better off just keeping a spare power supply around. It can only test voltage output and grounding and not the ability to handle a power load. I use the power supply tester on a regular basis, but it suffers from the same weakness that they all do. In the rare attempts I tried to use it, I couldnt find POST codes for the specific motherboard I was testing. The PCI POST card is cool, but I've never found it useful. I have never used any of the other stuff that comes with it other than the audio loopback and power supply tester. The other bits and pieces that come with it. The most useful thing is the actual diagnostic software. I have extensive experience with PC Doctor and I have three of their Premier Kits at work.
